The Village Chapel of Bald Head Island

On Island Ministries

Chapel Choir - Adult

  • The Village Chapel Choir was organized in February 1999 to sing at Chapel services.  Over the years, they have presented numerous concerts and cantatas, including a joint performance of Schubert’s Mass in G with St Philip's Episcopal Church in Southport. The ensemble performed for several Memorial Day programs at the Lighthouse, has gone caroling all around the island, participated in the All-Choir Festival in Southport -raising thousands of dollars for the Interchurch Food Pantry, and most recently, sang for the Old Baldy Foundation Christmas Tree Auction Fundraiser at the Bald Head Island Club.  The Choir meets every Sunday at 7:30 a.m. to prepare for the 8:30 service and rehearses briefly afterward on most Sundays.  Any singers with choral experience, visitors and residents alike, are invited to join us  to participate in this special worship activity.

Bible Study - Evening

  • The Evening Bible Study group (men and women) meets every Tuesday from September through May at participants’ homes. The group gathers at 7:00 p.m. for refreshments and fellowship, with discussions beginning at 7:30 p.m. There are always special Advent and Lenten readings and inquiries.  The remainder of the year is devoted to promoting spiritual growth through topical studies and small group discussion. New members are always welcome!  Please check the Sunday bulletin or the Chapel Website calendar page for the weekly location or call the Chapel Office (910-457-1183).
